The irises are done.
A pod for each one.
Weary peony
Raspberry revving its tiny little motor
The peonies are done for
On this day in the sun.
But the raspberries are coming.
Full of bees and their buzzing,
The raspberries are raring to go.

It’s a big, fluffy peony past its prime. The rain took it out last night. Now there’s a pile of sodden pink petals on the ground. So sad…
