You may know me as the Organizer for the Boston Science Fiction & Fantasy Writers Meetup or as a fellow member of Write You Bastards Write or as an alumna of the Boston-based Ultimate SF Workshop. If you don’t, I’m yet another unpublished fantasy writer with a husband and two cats. When I’m not maintaining my sanity by writing, I like to eat dim sum, study Japanese, and entertain vast ambitions for my garden.
On weekdays, I will generally post my reactions to the stories I encounter. When I read a story, I try to think about how it affected me and why. That way, I learn even from the ones I don’t like. The really difficult part is explaining why I like the few I do like. And it’s nearly impossible for me to be rational about a story if I hate it or fall in love with it. In any case, the more I like something, the later in the week I will post about it.
Generally, on Saturdays, I will post about non-fiction. On Sundays and Wednesdays, I will post pictures of flowers and bugs in my garden. I will post about other obsessions, like knitting, as they rise and fall. And if I can’t think of anything, more pictures of bugs and flowers.
Lots of bugs and flowers. Birds too. And pie.
You can always drop me a line behind the scenes.

Hi Pam,
This looks like a good start. Looking forward to your book lists and other writing tips.

Hi Fran,
Thanks for taking a look. I’ll be posting from my reading log for a while. So my current writing tip is: read widely.
