You may know me as the Organizer for the Boston Science Fiction & Fantasy Writers Meetup, or as a fellow member of Write You Bastards Write and of The Realifiers. If you don’t, I’m yet another unpublished fantasy writer with a husband and two cats. When I’m not maintaining my sanity by writing, I like to eat dim sum, study Japanese, and entertain vast ambitions for my garden.
I want to share with all of you fellow apprentice writers what I am learning about writing. Currently I am concentrating on reading stories and thinking about what I learn even from the ones I don’t like. The really difficult part is explaining why I like the few I do like. And it’s nearly impossible for me to be rational about a story if I hate it or fall in love with it.
.
On Saturdays, I will post about non-fiction. On Sundays, I will post pictures of flowers and bugs in my garden. During the week, I mostly post about reading and writing science fiction and fantasy. Mostly.
Hi Pam,
This looks like a good start. Looking forward to your book lists and other writing tips.

Hi Fran,
Thanks for taking a look. I’ll be posting from my reading log for a while. So my current writing tip is: read widely.
